As the proud new owner of an amazing new invention that has been keeping all of my friends’ cell phones charged, while we’re out and about, I had to spread the good word about Go Puck to others. Mike Yates, Sales Manager for Go Puck, tells us how this incredible product came to be and where you can purchase yours today! You’ll never be without a charged phone again!
Q: Where did the brilliant idea for Go Puck originate?
In 2009, when traveling for Business, Blake Fuller, founder of Braille Battery, was seeking a solution for charging his new iPhone while on the go, but was not able to find any solutions other than car chargers and high rate wall chargers. In 2010 when developing the spec Lithium battery for the 2012 IndyCar, Blake realized that technology could be adapted to make a lightweight portable charger for mobile phones which would fit into a pocket and provide more than just an emergency charge. Later in 2011, initial design concepts were developed and testing began to change the way portable charging was accomplished.
Q: Tell us a little bit about the product; what it does and what makes it unique.
The GO PUCK, Portable Use Charging Kit, features two USB outlets with connections for nearly all-modern mobile devices and the power to charge your mobile devices up to five times on a full charge. GO PUCK’s sustainable technology and portable design is ideal for the modern on the-go consumer. With a unique mounting system (GO PUCK Active Mount) to allow the product to mount to almost anything from Bicycles to Roll Cages to Skateboards, the GO PUCK is revolutionizing mobile power.
Our soon to be launched PUCK Skins are a line of complementary products that will provide protection for the GO PUCK by means of a durable cover which prevents damage to the product and at the same time, allow the customer to change the appearance of the product with designs and logos.
GO PUCK can be used with the iPhone 5/4/3, iPad, iPad Mini, Droid, Blackberry, GPS Units, GoPro, Kindle, Headphones, Speakers, and most USB charged compatible devices. The product features Smart Circuit Design “Charge Through Technology”, Short Circuit and Over-Charge Protection, Data-Block Technology, and the battery can do over 500 full-cycles which could charge up to 10,000 device charges before replacing.
Q: Where can people purchase a Go Puck?
GO PUCK can be purchased from www.gopuck.com, Amazon, New Egg, JEGS, Motor State, Winding Road Racing, and CV Products.
Q: Tell us about yourself and how you got into filmmaking.
I was born and raised in The Bahamas and my background has always been in IT. I moved to Miami in 2008. As a freshman, I wrote a script called ‘What Lies Beyond…’, which gathered dust until 3 years later, when I was fortunate enough to get the resources and a small team to bring the script to life. This was my first foray into filmmaking and it was this moment that I discovered my true passion: Film Producing.
Q: What was the funniest moment while filming “What Lies Beyond?”
On set, I was always serious, but as far as funny moments, its a long list…
Q: Where can we see WLB in theatres?
What Lies Beyond… opens Friday March 21st, exclusively at AMC 24 Aventura. It will play for a week in the theater, with multiple showtimes per day. Tickets can be purchased on Fandango, Movietickets.com, and at door and kiosk
Q: What are your future plans for this movie and what else do you have up your sleeve for your next production?
After the one week theatrical run, we will be released on DVD, Redbox, VOD, etc. My next project is a ‘The Punisher’ meets ‘Colombiana’. Its called ‘Tried: The Story of a Girl Gone Mad’
